J'ai un vélo de route que je prévois de réviser complètement bientôt. Au fil des ans, et avec plusieurs vélos, j'ai révisé presque tous les composants, mais je n'ai jamais réussi à le faire pour un vélo entier, du début à la fin.

Existe-t-il une séquence optimale pour une révision de vélo? Ou est-ce important?

Ne se détachera probablement pas du cadre nu. Je ne suis pas sûr que j'en ai besoin.

J'ai deux liens de liste de contrôle de révision qui sont excellents. L'une des listes de contrôle que j'ai modifiées pour un usage personnel et que j'ai incluses.

Le premier est de United Bicycle Institute ( lien PDF liste de contrôle ) - UBI est l'une des premières écoles de mécanique de vélo aux États-Unis.

Celui ci-dessous que j'ai modifié du blog A Convenient Cycle (le blog est maintenant mort ...) et c'est ce que j'utilise dans ma boutique personnelle.

Wheel Systems:
[ ] Front Hub bearings greased.

Je commence généralement par dépouiller un cadre. Je vais laisser les câbles allumés si je ne vais pas aussi loin, mais au moins démonter le casque et retirer le BB. Une fois que je serai aussi loin, je terminerai le cadre, puis passerai aux roues. Retirez les roulements et vérifiez les billes, obtenez-en de nouvelles si nécessaire et remballez les moyeux. Je nettoie également la cassette à ce stade car elle est principalement séparée.

Je n'ai jamais eu de pédales nécessitant une reconstruction, mais je suppose que je le ferais après avoir remis les manivelles.

Ensuite, remettez-le ensemble.

Je commence par un contrôle M de base - ce qui ne va pas avec le vélo. Faites la liste des choses à faire. Cela signifie une inspection minutieuse du cadre pour les dommages / fissures - si le cadre est une radiation du vélo est un donneur de pièces seulement et dépouillé.

Je commence par supprimer tous les mauvais bits et décide s'ils seront réparables après une reconstruction ou s'ils ont besoin d'être remplacés.

Une fois que tout est hors du vélo qui ne fonctionne pas, je fais un jugement pour savoir si cela vaut la peine d'être réparé. Évitez de plonger beaucoup de temps dans un vélo si c'est marginal. Il y a beaucoup de vélos, et bien que la sentimentalité et l'histoire aident à déplacer la frontière, vous devez toujours être sélectif.

Travaillez tour à tour sur chaque sous-système. IE Je ferais le BB parfait et passerais ensuite aux manivelles. Puis roue arrière, cassette, dérailleurs, chaîne.

Nettoyez toujours les choses avant de travailler dessus. Un vélo propre est plus agréable à utiliser. Faites d'abord les pièces sales - c'est-à-dire la transmission, les moyeux de roue, le dressage des roues, etc.

Laissez les détails de finition à plus tard. La selle, le bartape, les réflecteurs, les câbles intérieurs pour les freins / manettes et les freins sont vers la fin de la séquence.

Enfin, testez le vélo. Vous devriez la rouler pendant quelques minutes, ralentir au début, puis vous mettre en vitesse et tester les freins et changer de vitesse.

Après 4 à 6 semaines, vous voudrez également modifier les câbles de frein et de levier de vitesses - ils sont compatibles avec l'utilisation.
