Comment faire fonctionner les graphiques commutables sur mon Samsung RF711 avec les cartes graphiques Intel HD et GeForce 540M sur Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

J'ai un ordinateur portable Samsung RF711 Intel Core i7, exécutant Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 bits. Cela vient avec deux cartes graphiques - la Intel (qui fonctionne par défaut) et une Nvidia GeForce GT 540M (que je n'ai jamais réussi à faire fonctionner sur Ubuntu).

J'ai essayé diverses configurations avec bumblebee mais toutes ont finalement échoué lorsque j'ai essayé d'utiliser optirun (j'ai vu plusieurs fois une erreur comme "impossible d'allouer le cache de rendu logiciel" dans le journal Xorg).

J'ai eu une autre tentative avec nvidia-prime ce matin. Tout d'abord, je me suis assuré qu'aucun paquet de bourdons n'était installé, et j'ai couru

sudo apt-get purge nvidia*

pour supprimer tous les packages nvidia installés. J'ai ensuite fait

sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm

pour vous assurer que lightdm était la valeur par défaut,

sudo apt-get install nvidia-331

qui a installé les 331 pilotes, nvidia-prime, nvidia settings etc.

Après le redémarrage, j'entre en mode graphique bas. À partir d'ici, la seule façon dont j'ai réussi à revenir au bureau est de supprimer les packages nvidia à l'aide de

sudo apt-get purge nvidia*

et redémarrez. Bien sûr, cela restaure l'ordinateur portable tel qu'il était initialement.

Un peu plus d'informations pour vous: 1) J'ai essayé les pilotes nvidia-337 tout à l'heure, avec exactement le même résultat. 2) Je ne suis pas trop inquiet d'avoir des graphiques commutables et serais heureux d'utiliser la carte Nvidia tout le temps (j'ai essayé de le faire dans le BIOS mais je n'avais pas la possibilité de la sélectionner). Évidemment, s'il existe une solution qui permet des graphiques commutables, ce serait idéal, cependant!

Est-ce une option dans votre BIOS pour sélectionner quelle carte vidéo permet en premier? C'est assez courant chez les fabricants de qualité et cela pourrait aider à activer la GeForce GT 540M avant Intel embarqué, car vous ne pouvez pas la choisir exclusivement.

Salut, merci d'avoir répondu. J'ai jeté un œil au BIOS et je n'ai trouvé aucune option pour sélectionner une carte graphique. Cela dit, je ne suis pas particulièrement bien informé sur l'utilisation du BIOS, donc si quelqu'un a des suggestions spécifiques à mon système, cela serait utile aussi!

Actuellement, je ne peux pas du tout utiliser la carte Nvidia et j'aimerais pouvoir le faire. Idéalement, je serais en mesure de choisir la carte que j'utilise pour chaque programme que j'exécute (comme Bumblebee vous le permet), mais je serais heureux tant que je peux utiliser la carte Nvidia, même si elle est utilisée par défaut pour tout.

Vous pouvez essayer le package nvidia-prime , pour avoir un meilleur support de la technologie Nvidia Optimus.

La première étape consiste à nettoyer un peu votre système avec:

sudo apt-get purge bumblebee* primus libvdpau-va-gl1

Et nous installons le pilote nvidia et nvidia-prime:

sudo apt-get install nvidia-331 nvidia-prime mesa-utils

Si vous voulez l'accélération graphique pour les vidéos HD, vous pouvez installer:

sudo apt-get install vdpau-va-driver

Redémarrez ensuite votre système. Et allez dans 'nvidia-settings' pour vérifier sous la section nvidia-prime si vous pouvez changer de carte.

Vous pouvez également ajouter une applet pour l'unité pour basculer simplement entre les cartes: indicateur principal

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8

Je viens d'essayer cela, mais j'ai eu le même problème que dans la question d'origine: démarré en mode graphique bas et le fichier journal Xorg a montré la même erreur.

Sur la base de votre xorg.conf, il semble que vous utilisez nvidia et non Intel, d'où:

Section "Mise en page du serveur"

Identifiant "mise en page"

Écran 0 "nvidia"

"Intel" inactif

Tout ce que je peux trouver indique que le pilote est cassé dans cette configuration et qu'il vaut mieux utiliser simplement Intel. Je contacterais le fabricant ici et demanderais une mise à jour du BIOS qui permettrait la fonctionnalité que vous désirez.

Utilisez-vous peut-être le xorg-edgersPPA? J'ai également un mode graphique bas lorsque j'utilise NVIDIA avec leurs pilotes. Essayez de supprimer tous les éléments NVIDIA ( sudo apt-get --purge remove nvidia* && apt-get --purge autoremove, assurez-vous également qu'ils sont également bumblebeecomplètement supprimés), supprimez leur PPA et installez nvida-current( sudo apt-get install nvidia-current). Vous pouvez maintenant basculer en utilisant le CP de NVIDIA ou en utilisant sudo prime-select nvidia/intel.
