Gestionnaire de connexion SLIM sur Ubuntu: aucun écran trouvé

J'aimerais utiliser SLIM comme gestionnaire de connexion dans Ubuntu 10.10. GDM fonctionne bien, mais lorsque je passe à SLIM, le démarrage est bloqué et les éléments suivants apparaissent dans /var/log/slim.log

Il semble que ce problème affecte tout gestionnaire de connexion autre que GDM et KDM. Cela concerne la manière dont le gestionnaire de connexion est démarré. Dans le cas de SLIM, cela se produit dans /etc/init.d/slim. En guise de solution temporaire, je peux charger SLIM en modifiant la ligne suivante dans /etc/init.d/slim:

start-stop-daemon --start $SSD_START_ARGS ||echo -n " already running"

Et en le remplaçant par:

if [ "$(pidof slim)" ]; then
  echo -n " already running"
else
  exec /usr/bin/slim
fi
